Sonic X Amy: Now And Forever

     It was another sunny day in Mobius. Dozens of Mobians were out and about on the streets, in the park, and at the beach; enjoying the glorious weather with friends and family. But unlike many of the people outside, there was one hedgehog who was having a bit of a problem...

Amy's P.O.V.
     OH WHERE IS IT?! I kept searching and searching, but I couldn't find it. "I'm never gonna find that necklace for Sonic..." In my thoughts I was trying to remember where I could have left it, but I couldn't.
     I heard a knock at my door. I thought to myself, 'I wonder if it's Sonic.'
     "Amy? Are you home?" It was Tails... I sure didn't see that coming... I opened the door. He looked worn out and tired for some reason.
     "Hey Tails," I said happily.
     "Hey Amy. Sonic wanted to know if we were all still going to the park later today. He just wanted me to drop by on everyone." He looked at me and waited for me to answer.
     In my mind I thought 'OH CRAP... I FORGOT...' "Uh... s-sure." I awkwardly rubbed the back of my head and chuckled nervously. He was confused, but said 'Okay', and said goodbye as he left. 'I WAS SUPPOSED TO LOOK FOR MY NECKLACE FOR SONIC!' I thought to myself.
     I let out a sigh of disappointment and flopped on my couch. "Well... this should be fun..."

                                                           (LATER THAT DAY AT CHAOS PARK)

Sonic's P.O.V.
     "Hey little buddy," I said to Tails then continued, "... Did you talk to Amy today? Is she coming or not? Is she gonna be here soon? Do you think tha-" I was cut off by him.
     "SONIC! CALM DOWN AND STOP ASKING SO MANY QUESTIONS! MY BRAIN IS GONNA IMPLODE..." he replied bluntly. His face was slightly red with frustration and I could tell that he was a little irritated by my impatience.
     I looked at him while holding back stifled laughter. I couldn't help but find it hilarious that he could get so easily annoyed with me. "Oh... I'm sorry," I tried not to laugh. He looked at me and then sighed.
     Amy ran up behind me and tightly hugged me. I was surprised and I started to blush a little. "Um... A-Ames?" I asked her.
     "OH! SORRY!" She loosened her grip and I gasped for air. 'Jeez. Is she trying to hug me to death?' I thought. "Sonic, here. Take this," Amy said as she handed me a necklace. It was inscribed with "To Sonikku, From Ames"
     I blushed a little again and looked at her. She smiled at my face. I half smiled and hugged her. She was caught off guard, and I saw her slightly blush. I chuckled, "Thanks Amy."
     She was still blushing and smiled at me. She giggled as we walked to the group.

Tails' P.O.V.
     I noticed that Sonic had a necklace around his neck.  'Amy must have given it to him. Good for them.' I thought as I smiled at the two. They seemed a little confused and I just laughed it off. The group hung out at the park and we all drove home after a few hours.
     "So guys, that was fun, huh?"
     "You bet bro," Sonic said to me. He was always like a big brother. I asked him a question.
     "Sonic... are you and Amy da-" I was cut off by Sonic covering my mouth.
     He looked at me embarrassed. "SHH!!" He whispered to me, "No... at least..." He gulped. "... not yet, anyway."
     I was shocked. He took his hand away. "Wait," I whispered. "You're going to ask her out, aren't you, Sonic?" He began to slightly blush and cleared his throat.
     "M-Maybe..." His voice cracked as he said. I snickered when his voice cracked. He looked at me sternly. I tried not to laugh, but I just couldn't take him seriously when he was blushing while scolding me.
     Later in the evening it was about 11:55 P.M. and everyone was leaving. Sonic stayed and was talking with me while I was working on modifications for the X-Tornado.
     "... so, what should I do Tails," Sonic asked me concerned.
     I looked at him and replied. "Well... you like her, she likes you, and you're wanting to date each other... It's not that hard to figure out Sonic." I jokingly said and noticed he wasn't kidding.
     He sighed and left. I thought to myself if maybe I should tell Amy for him... but I don't like to meddle in other people's business.

                                                           (AT AMY'S HOUSE... 11:58 P.M.)

Amy's P.O.V.
     'I could have sworn I saw him blush when I hugged Sonic at the park. He looked like he was... but then again maybe...' My thoughts were interrupted by a knock at my door. "Who in the world is up at this hour?" I looked at my clock. It was midnight. I had an irritated look on my face, and I as opened the door, my expression went from frustration to shock.
     "Hey Amy. Sorry, but can we talk?" He looked at me and I snapped back to reality.
     "S-Sure Sonic... come on in." He walked in and I closed the door. He sat on the couch and I sat beside him. "So... w-what's up," I asked curiously.
     He looked at me and answered with "Well, you and I have known each other for a long time..." Sonic hesitated. He continued, "I want to ask you... uh, do you... um," He seemed REALLY nervous. He was sweating a little on his forehead and he was slightly blushing.
     I already knew what he was going to ask. "Yes Sonic." I said as I smiled and hugged him. He gasped and was stunned. His eyes were wide and as he hugged me back, he was blushing even more. I giggled at his reaction.
     "Thanks Ames." He kissed my cheek and chuckled. We hugged again and I heard something that I have never heard him do...
     My eyes widened and I began to laugh, but I held it in. "S-Sonic... did... did you just pur?" I stifled my laughter and he looked really embarrassed. I giggled and then we both laughed.
     "You don't think it's weird or anything? I mean, I pur whenever my ear is scratched..." But he suddenly realized what he had just revealed to me. He quickly covered his mouth. Sonic's entire face was blushing.
     "Oh... so your ear, huh?" I reached for his ear and scratched.
     With his mouth still covered I heard a muffled pur. He looked like he was happy and embarrassed and the same time. I giggled and he started laughing.

                                                                       (A FEW DAYS LATER)

     The happy couple were enjoying their time together. Sonic was finally able to tell Amy how he felt about her, and they couldn't have been happier together. Although the thought of anything happening to Amy was Sonic's worst thought... so he was beginning to fear the worst for Amy.

Sonic's P.O.V.
     'What if an enemy of mine tries to use her against me? What if she's injured because of me? What if someone tries to take her away from me? Maybe I should have thought about how much this could have affected Amy...'
     "Sonic," I heard Amy say. She at me worriedly. I was more worried about her...
     "I'm okay, just... thinking," I replied trying not to worry her.
     She turned away from me and she looked concerned. I half smiled at her and we kept walking. We ran in to Tails and Shadow. We all walked to the park to hang out. Shadow and I were talking while Tails and Amy were playing Frisbee with a couple of people.
     Shadow and I talked about Amy. I told him what I was thinking about and he told me not to think about the worst things that could happen. "You shouldn't worry about what COULD happen. You should be thinking about what WOULD happen." Shadow said as he looked at me reassuringly.
     "What do you mean, what WOULD happen?" I asked this confused and curiously.
     Shadow sighed and told me. "What would happen is that none of your enemies would use her against you because you're going to keep this between us, right? You're going to keep this whole relationship thing between the two of you, and your friends."
     I nodded. He patted my shoulder and we walked to the Frisbee game. We hung out for a little while and then Amy and I went to the waterfall. She always loved this place. We sat by the water and she nuzzled up to me. I blushed as I held her close. Amy's eyes sparkled as she looked at the water.
     "Sonikku, I love you." Amy looked at me and she blushed.
     "I'll love you, now and forever, Ames." I looked in her eyes. I blushed as I leaned close. We kissed, and held each other, watching the sunset. Together...
