Shadow X Amy: I'll Protect You

  "Sonic, where are you...?" Amy called out for her blue blur. She had been searching for him all day, and yet it seemed that he was nowhere to be found. Amy was getting worried about her hero and where he might have run off to... she kept on searching. After a while, Amy had given up completely. Her attempts at finding her loved one served no purpose, since she didn't know where he was or could be. She sat down on a bench in Station Square. The sun was setting slowly but surely, and the wind died down to a gentle breeze. The stars appeared soon after.
  "I don't think I'll ever find him. Where on earth did he go? Sonikku..." Amy said weakly, shedding a tear. She quickly wiped it away and told herself not to cry. The cold night atmosphere was too much for her. She sighed, getting up from the bench, and began to walk home, as it had gotten late outside. As Amy continued walking she noticed a green hedgehog that was leaning against a tree. 'Oh no... Just keep walking, Amy... Don't let him see you...' she thought to herself. She was in NO mood. Just as she was walking away he grabbed her. She gulped.
  "Hey, babe. What are you doing out here at night... ALONE?" He smirked at her in a flirtatious way. She scoffed and tried to free herself of his grasp on her wrist but he only chuckled at her attempt to leave so abruptly. He pulled her closer to him, making her slightly blush, which made Scourge flash his seductive grin once more. She just scowled at him and asked him what he wanted. "Now now, Ames. Let's not be too hasty. I just wanted to know if you were still looking for a boyfriend," He chuckled and moved in closer. She felt VERY uncomfortable right now.
  "Hey... Let go of her..." a figure in the trees warned the now confused green hedgehog. "NOW!" The voice had gotten a bit more cocky with its remark.
  "HA! Why should I, huh? Where the hell are you? Wh-Who are you?" Scourge looked around, baffled as to where this mysterious voice was coming from.
  The dark figure jumped down from the trees and onto the ground, hidden in the shadows. It stood up and raised its head to the two hedgehogs, thus revealing two dark red eyes that gazed upon them. The figure started to walk slowly towards both Amy and Scourge, who was holding her waist and now pulling her closer to his body, as to imply that she wasn't going anywhere except with him. The silhouette appeared from the darkness, appearing as a black hedgehog with red stripes on his quills. He spoke again to his enemy in a very calm, yet very harsh tone.
  "I am Shadow the Hedgehog... The Ultimate Life Form, and I demand that you release this girl at once..."
  "Oh, really now. Do you know her? Didn't think so... You wanna take me on in a fight?" Scourge teased Shadow.
  "I do not wish to engage in combat. Just let her go and leave..." Shadow then focused his gaze towards Amy. She was beginning to wonder why he was so determined to help her escape from Scourge. When Scourge showed he wasn't going to listen to the ebony adversary, Shadow chuckled lightly and then replied to Scourge. "If you value your life, green menace... you'll let the pink one go free, and you will leave unharmed." Amy gasped at Shadow's sudden change of attitude. She began to turn a little pale and worried that they would start to fight with each other.
  Scourge grinned evily at Shadow's challenge. "You dare to intimidate me? That's cute..." He slightly chuckled and then followed with, "Well... then let's fight for her, Mr. Emohog..." He let go of Amy's waist and gently pushed her to the side. He gripped his hands into fists, and got into a fighting stance. Shadow cracked his knuckles and stood firm in his current standing position. He was eager to end this quarrel and take the pink individual to a safer area. As the atmosphere became tense, Amy was out on the side-lines, hoping that this fight wouldn't kill the two boys...
  The stained navy-blue sky held the twinkling starts and the glow of the crescent moon. The midnight air was by no means cool or calm. The streaked hedgehog made the first move with his Chaos Spear. The Verde form had dodged it quickly and countered with several melee attacks. Shadow blocked every single blow, suddenly kicking Scourge off balance and sending him straight into a tree. Just then Amy noticed Scourge had a bloody lip and tried pleading to Shadow about stopping the fight. He looked at her concerned and frightened expression. He sighed.
  "He's not worth it anyway..." He replied bluntly. Shadow looked at Amy and slightly smiled. He thought that she looked beautiful in the moonlight. Her eyes twinkled and her soft pink quills moved gently with the midnight wind. She was a bit confused as to why he was looking at her that way, but she shrugged it off, and asked him if he was alright. "Yes, I'm okay. As for the green one..." He then moved his eyes over to the form by the tree. Scourge looked like he would wake up at any moment. Shadow didn't the girl to get involved with another fight. He took her hand.
  "Huh? What are you..." Amy was interrupted by Shadow's Chaos Control. She found herself being teleported to a meadow not far from where they were before.
  "Don't worry. We're safe... YOU'RE safe," he turned to Amy and smiled. She blushed a little and looked around the field. "What is your name, miss?"
  Amy looked back at him. Smiling, she answered. "Amy... A-Amy Rose." Shadow chuckled. He took her hand and kissed it. 'Oh Gosh... Am I blushing?' Amy thought to herself. She was sure that she was.
  "It's a pleasure, Rose. And don't worry... I'll protect you." With that being said Shadow gently pulled Amy into an embrace as if to show that he WOULD indeed protect her at all costs necessary.
  Amy giggled and snuggled up to his chest. She felt safer with Shadow than she did with Sonic. Once the hug had ceased, both of the hedgehogs looked into the other's eyes. The instinctive moment kicked in, making them both lean inward, slowly getting closer to one another. As their lips began to touch they both knew that they felt sparks. They broke the kiss and smiled. Their hearts beating loud enough for both of them to hear. They sat down on the grass, snuggling close, and never wanting this night to end. They soon fell asleep feeling safe and happy...
